Joana Martinez is a talented singer and live performer from Miami, Florida. Joana is a second-generation Cuban-American who not only speaks both English and Spanish but she also sings in both languages. Joana’s father was also a musician but was unable to pursue a musical career. Her father, mother and other family members are very supportive of her music carrier.

Music and Singing Journey of Joana Martinez

Joana Martinez gets her singing talent from her father, who plays the drums and trumpet but was unable to pursue a musical career. Joana was very shy during her childhood and she hesitates to sing in front of strangers. As a shy kid, she used to make her family and friends turn around when she would sing. Even of her shyness she continues to perform in front of family and friends and slowly got confident in singing and performing live. In middle school, she was nominated “Most Likely to Win ‘The Voice’”. In 2015, Joana competed in the Young Talent Big Dreams competition. She was a finalist in the contest and sang “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga.  At the age of 13, Joana sang the national anthem at a Miami Heat game and later performed at a Miami Marlins game.

In 2019 Joana gave blind audition for “The Voice American Season 17” to give her music career a boom. During Audition, she impressed Judges with his singing and succeeds in turning the chairs of Coach Kelly, Coach Gwen and Coach Blake. She picked Team Blake but Gwen Stefani stole her from Blake Shelton’s team during the Knockouts. She was among three members of Team Gwen who reached Top 11 in The Voice.
