Kaylin’s musical journey has not always been smooth sailing. At the fragile age of 9 she was the victim of a dog attack that required life support and facial reconstruction rendering permanent scars on her face that ignited inspiration, hope and strength in her heart.
Over 200 stitches later, Kaylin found herself navigating new obstacles as a young girl in the fourth grade. Having to endure the cruelty of a lowered self-esteem along with bullying, she needed an escape. Music was the perfect cure and it continued to be that for her in her adult years.
In high school, Kaylin toured school districts across the country to share her story with students in hopes of inspiring them to chase their own dreams and stand up to the bullies of the world.
When she wasn’t touring, she was working on her craft of not only being an inspirational speaker, but also being a top tier songwriter. She played gigs at local restaurants and bars in her hometown of Raleigh, NC for years and built up a local fanbase before moving to Nashville at nineteen.
Since the move to music city, she has written over 200 songs in 3 years and has made many noteworthy accomplishments such as having songs featured on Spotify editorial playlists like New Music Nashville, and Fresh Finds Best of Country 2020, as well as being featured in American Songwriter following her single release “Big Fish”.
