Snigdhajit was born in a poor family, his father’s mental condition was not good and his mother had to make a lot of efforts to run the household. She had to face all kinds of abuse at her in-law’s place.
Snigdhajit did not have money to learn music, but still, his mother wanted to see his bright future. He continued his studies and attended Raiganj University College, and faced money troubles.

Snigdhajit faced such situations in his life when their family had nothing to eat. After drinking water, he had to sleep on an empty stomach. His friend Yash helped him a lot and inspired him to sing at college functions. During his college days, he fell in love with a girl named Aditi.
Aditi’s family put pressure on him to get married soon but Snighajut was not capable enough to meet the expenses of himself and Aditi. Under the pressure of the family, Snigdhajit ran away with Aditi and got married.
After that, along with marriage, because of responsibilities, he decided to stop his singing career and go for a job. Snigdhajit did many small jobs as a salesman and worked in a bar to earn a small amount of money.
Due to all this, he faced many other problems. He did not even have money to travel from one place to another. Due to all these problems, he worked in bars of Kolkata from 2012 to 2015.
The opportunity came in his life when he was selected as a member of Bollywood singer Shaan’s team on ‘The Voice’ show. He was among the top 3 contestants on “The Voice”. He began working with Shaan in their studio. Then he got the opportunity in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. In the meantime, he is also selected as a part of another music program on a popular Bengali channel.

Listening to that song, I used to dream about becoming a famous singer.” Snighajit’s mother also played a great role in his success. She saved him from all odds of his life and took care of his education.
