Urgen Tsomu is a melodious singer from small-town Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh. She has a very loving bonding with her father, Tsering Dorjee, who is an ex-Army man.
Music Journey of Urgen Tsomu
Urgen Tsomu is from a village where there is no Music Teacher and no Music School. Urgen learns music and singing by listening from mobile. She writes the song by listening from mobile and then practices it by singing. Urgen’s father is very supportive of her and helps her in every mean for her singing journey. Even after criticism of many people, that he is wasting money on his daughter, Urgen’s father didn’t stop supporting his daughter. In 2018 Urgen Tsomu become 1st Runner Up of Arunachal’s Got Talent. She also got selected for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2019 but got eliminated in initial rounds. Her audition of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs is not Aired on TV.
Captain Sachin Valmiki visited East India and searched and bring her to “Superstar Singer” on Sony TV. Initially, she didn’t agree to go to Mumbai with Captain Sachin as she doesn’t want to put any more financial burden on her father by leaving for the expensive city of Mumbai. During Auditions of Superstar Singer, she sang vintage song “Sayonara” and got high appreciation from all Judges. She also performed on Kapil Sharma Show and sung ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin’. After Urgen’s performance on the song ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin’ which went viral overnight, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media and wished the 11-year-old for her new musical journey.
