In 2020 Sayantani participated in Sangg Geet Juniors, An online singing contest for kids organized to bring out the talent of youngsters (between 8 years and 15 years of age).
In 2022 she got selected among the top 15 contestants of the Sony TV singing reality show, Superstar Singer 2. She got placed in the team of Captain Arunita Kanjilal.
There was a rumor that Sayabtani has some relation with Arunita Kanjilal. But she clarified during the Superstar Singer show that she has no family relation with Arunita. The rumor arose due to their similar surnames.
